Vitamins As Acne Treatment and Solution.

Acne may cause you considerable emotional distress but there is a range of treatment options to help you tackle the problem. No treatment will completely cure your acne. The aims of treatment are to prevent new spots forming, to improve those already present, and to prevent scarring. Vitamins and minerals play an important role in the treatment of acne. The complete nutrition is required by the body to promote the healthy skin and reduces acne. Vitamins and minerals act as powerful antioxidants which eliminates the toxins from the body.

 Vitamins to take for acne:

1. Vitamin A.

Vitamin A strengthens the protective tissue of the skin and prevents acne. It helps reduce sebum production. It is essential for the maintenance and repair of the tissue which the skin and mucous membranes are made of. It is also a powerful antioxidant needed to rid your body of toxins

Naturally occurring Vitamin A, or retinol, is found in fish oils, liver and dairy products. The Vitamin A produced by plants is known as Beta-carotene, and is found in yellow/orange fruits and vegetable such as carrots, yams, apricots and cantaloupe, as well as green vegetables like parsley, kale and spinach. Extremely high doses of Vitamin A are toxic, so don’t overdo it.

2. Vitamin B Complex to take for acne.

The B vitamins help to maintain healthy skin tone. They are also helpful in relieving anxiety and stress. Stress can be a major player in causing acne. The B vitamins should always be taken together

Vitamin B-2. Stress has been known to aggravate existing cases of acne, and Vitamin B-2 is often helpful alleviating stress. Foods with a high concentration of B-2 include whole grains, fish, milk, eggs, meat and leafy green vegetables.

Vitamin B-3. Found in peanuts, eggs, avocados, liver and lean meats, Vitamin B-3 improves circulation, promoting healthy skin. It also reduces the cholesterol level in the blood and helps you metabolize protein, sugar & fat – increasing your energy through proper utilization of food.

3. Vitamin E.

Vitamin E is found in almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, broccoli, wheat germ and vegetable oils. A powerful antioxidant, it protects your cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging by-products of the body’s metabolism.

4. Zinc.

Zinc aids in healing of the tissues and helps prevent scarring. It helps prevent acne by regulating the activity of the oil glands. Even in trace amounts, the antioxidant zinc is known to boost the immune system, improving overall health – which of course is reflected in the skin. Zinc can be found in eggs, whole grains, nuts and mushrooms.

5. Vitamin C.

Vitamin C can benefit skin in two important ways. Firstly, vitamin C is essential for the synthesis of collagen, a key structural protein of the skin. Secondly, vitamin C is an antioxidant and can help reduce free radicals. So, when vitamin C is properly delivered into skin cells, it may help reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture.

6. Chromium.

For acne, Chromium aids in reducing infections of the skin. To get the adequate amount of chromium in your diet, chromium should be taken in supplemental form called chromium picolinate or chromium polynicotinate. Chances are you are chromium deficient because the form of chromium in foods is not easily absorbed and is lost during processing; and high quantities of sugar in the diet cause a loss of chromium from the body.

7. Co-Enzyme Q10.

A coenzyme is a substance needed for the proper functioning of an enzyme, a protein that speeds up the rate at which chemical reactions take place. Q10 refers to parts of the compound’s chemical structure. Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant found in most body tissues. Coenzyme Q10 is used to produce the energy needed for cell growth and maintenance and has been studied in the support of heart health.

Conclusion: Vitamins to take for acne.

It is recommended to take three to five servings of vegetables every day.

There is no cure for acne, but acne can be treated completely. While vitamins alone may not clear up acne, they support a healthier diet and can offset some causes including stress, poor nutrition, and hormonal imbalances.

Vitamin B As Acne Treatments

Keeping Accutane aside, B-type vitamins are the most common natural treatments used to cure acne in the long run. Amongst these, vitamin B5 is regarded as one of the safest methods for acne treatment as Accutane can lead to several problems according to consumer reviews. This article takes a brief look at the different B-complex vitamins and how they individually cure acne.

Almost all B-complex vitamins play a vital role in maintaining your skin’s health. This is one major reason why it is always a good practice to use a multivitamin containing most B-type vitamins whether you want to treat acne or any other skin problem. Then, it has been found by researchers that stressful conditions can lead to acne formation; B vitamins are highly effective in controlling stress, which in turn prevents development of acne.

at home remedies for zits

Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, helps drive toxins out of your body. These toxins can otherwise assist in the growth of acne. In addition to this, thiamine also helps in the digestion of food, especially in breaking down the food and separating other vitamins for further use.

Vitamin B2 or riboflavin has been found to lessen stress, which means elimination of one of the major causes of acne. That’s why some experts opine lack of vitamin B2 can result in acne growth. Apart from acne, riboflavin is also essential in improving the health of your nails, skin and hair. You can also fulfill your vitamin B2 needs by consuming fish, meat, eggs, and milk rather than taking a multi-vitamin for this purpose.

Next comes vitamin B3 (niacinamide), which not only prevents acne development but also puts a stop to its spread if you already had an acne breakout. Moreover, as vitamin B1 assists in breaking down other vitamins during digestion, B3 facilitates the processing of fats, proteins and carbohydrates inside the stomach. You can find niacinamide in liver, peanuts and eggs if you want to avoid a multi-vitamin.

Perhaps the most essential B-type vitamin for acne treatment is vitamin B5 or Pantothenic acid. Vitamin B5 reduces stress level and improves the performance of adrenal glands that may otherwise create sebum oil in excess. Chinese researcher Dr. Lit-Hung Leung did an experiment in which he successfully treated acne patients with extra-ordinarily high doses of Vitamin B5.

In all the B-complex vitamins reviewed above, vitamin B5 has been found to be the most effective without any reports of side effects. Though it’s less effective than Accutane, it is still preferred because of Accutane’s high risk factors in some cases. So the best advice would be to gradually take high doses of vitamin B5 along with a multivitamin containing other B-complex vitamins so that you don’t create a deficiency of any vitamin during this process.

Why Acne Forms.

Acne does not form because your skin is dirty. Some people who never wash their face have no acne while others who was their face 20 times a day have pimples everywhere. The truth is: Acne forms because your body is overproducing oil. That overproduction of oil leads directly to pimples forming on your skin. This leads to the obvious conclusion: The real way to stop acne is not to try to "clear the skin" with topical acne treatments, but instead to stop acne from forming in the first place by slowing down the production of oil inside the body.

Topical Acne Treatments Do Not Work.

Unfortunately the most common acne treatment are topical acne treatments (such as creams that you apply to your skin.) It’s unfortunate because this approach simply does not work. If you’re like me then you’ve tried countless different brands of topical acne treatments with no success.

Vilantae (Vitamin B5) Stops The Overproduction Of Oil Inside The Body.

Vilantae is taken internally (either with capsules or in liquid form) and it works in an entirely different way than topical treatments. It actually works by slowing down oil production inside the body. This has the effect of stopping acne from forming in the first place. This means instead of constantly trying to clear your skin of new pimples, you won’t ever have those pimples in the first place.

You Haven’t Heard Of It Before?

This is a relatively new approach so I would not be surprised if you hadn’t heard of it before. It was first discovered in the late 1990s and despite how well it works it has not become very well known yet. I think that’s because it’s actually too effective. Think about it; once you actually cure your acne you won’t have to keep buying more useless products! That’s how these companies make their money.

Acne is a pretty common disease now thanks to the usage of so many cosmetics and chemical-filled creams. And sufferers are not limited to teenagers and children only, as adults are increasingly being affected by this serious problem. That’s why so many people are interested in getting information about the most effective treatment options for common types of acne. Perhaps one of the best options available to acne sufferers comes in the form of Vitamin B, especially Vitamin B5.

The fact of the matter is that Vitamin B not only helps treat acne, but lack of this vitamin has also proven to be a big contributor to acne development. And a large number of acne sufferers, especially people who have acne vulgaris, have diets low in B-complex vitamins; so they are expected to experience great results using this vitamin as a natural treatment.

Benefits of Vitamin B5.

Majority of the people who consume B5 as a treatment option for acne vulgaris will experience results quite quickly. There are, of course, exceptions for those who develop acne due to other dietary and lifestyle choices. However, even those can experience quite a noticeable decrease in the severity of the symptoms associated with their acne. The rate of the condition steadily begins to slow down as well within the first few weeks of treatment and new lesions will rarely be seen. Although vitamin B5 has proven to be an extremely effective option for acne sufferers, it is not necessarily a quick, overnight process as many would love to believe.

natural acne cures

The symptoms associated with the condition will slowly begin to fade; however, in order to fully control your acne, you may need to utilize B5 supplements for up to 6 months. The good news, on the other hand, is that there are an absolutely staggering number of sufferers who have been able to cure this condition earlier with the use of this great treatment.

Things to Keep in Mind.

Even though many have extremely benefited from this treatment, there are several points you should keep in mind. Firstly, not all people will have the same results. Some may take much longer to notice results and some may not have much effect at all, depending on the type and also the intensity of your problem. It will also depend on the lifestyle and dietary choices that you make during the treatment process.

Someone who consumes a large amount of high fat and oily foods will be less likely to experience quick results from vitamin B5 acne treatment. Also read our B5 Acne FAQ if you have any questions. And consult your dermatologist beforehand in order to get maximum benefit from this process.

For years the main choices in trying to treat acne have been over the counter topical medications like face cleansing pads and creams which are highly ineffective as anyone who has ever suffered through acne knows well. There is also the prescription drug Accutane which while it is very effective in treating acne it is used specifically for very bad cases of acne and it also has many negative side effects. Accutane is also very expensive. All of these reasons make Accutane not a very good choice for the vast majority of acne sufferers.

home remedies for body acne

Luckily now there is a better choice. Vitamin B5. Companies like Vilantae have created capsules using vitamin B5 specifically to treat acne. Vitamin B5 works not by cleansing your skin but by stopping acne at it’s source. This makes a lot more sense than topical products like ProActiv when you think about it. Topical products attempt to cleanse your skin of acne. If you are an acne sufferer you should really realize by now that acne has nothing to do with how dirty or clean your skin is. One person could wash their face once a month and have no acne and another could wash their face 20 times a day and have a face full of it. If you’ve been suffering from acne for a long time I bet you’ve been using topical pads and creams for quite some time with little to no success, am I right? I know that that could have been said about me 4 years ago before I heard about Vitamin B5 and tried it for myself. I had been using topical medications for 7 years and one day I just grew very frustrated that I could never have clear skin. I was getting pretty old by then (age 25) and it was extremely frustrating to me that I could never seem to clear my skin no matter how many topical medications I bought or how much I cleaned my face.

Vitamin B5 was a revelation for me. I got the bottles of vitamin B5 capsules and I followed the directions as far as how many to take (being as this was 4 years ago I don’t remember the exact schedule.) and at first I was a bit worried about the large number of capsules that I was supposed to take but I found different ways of taking the vitamins like opening up the capsules and putting them in yogurt (my favorite trick.) I was quickly a convert of B5 because right off I noticed one of the great side effects of Vitamin B5. Yes vitamin B5 does have side effects but they are POSITIVE! I actually had a great increase in energy when I began taking B5 and it wasn’t that wired dirty feeling energy that you get from diet pills or drinking too much coffee it was fresh natural feeling energy like from a really great night sleep. That was a great way to start off with it and it was literally days when I started to notice my skin clearing up.

I took Vitamin B5 for about a year and had no pimples that whole year. At that point I was taking much less vitamin B5 (I had slowly been taking less and less) and I finally decided to try and stop taking it altogether to see what would happen. I was expecting to have to take it again. But to my surprise I never did. It’s now been 3 years since then and my skin is still clear. So not only did Vitamin B5 seem to treat my acne it actually seems to have CURED my acne. I hope you can see why I am such a big proponent of Vitamin B5.

I feel dumb now looking back at it, that I never tried anything else other than topical medications for 7 years! But you know that’s all they show you on TV and in other advertisements. All of these big companies that sell this garbage they pass off as medication. They make a ton of money from people who are desperate to have clear skin and will keep buying the same junk even though it never does anything. They don’t care that their products don’t work and in fact that probably makes them better sellers because the people have to keep buying the products since they continue to have acne. See the vicious circle there and how it profits the big companies?

I’ve actually been reading some disinformation going around about Vitamin B5 and it’s obvious to me that this is information being put out by the big companies because the last thing they want is for their to be a real acne cure. Think about this for a minute or two and you’ll understand why. If acne could be cured by taking a simple vitamin that is very inexpensive do you realize how much money these companies are going to lose by no longer being able to peddle their junky topical "medications"? Billions of dollars. So please do not be swayed by any of that nonsense. Use your own sense. Realize that topical medications clearly are not the way to treat acne. Think about your own experiences with topical medications trying to treat your acne. Don’t you think it’s time you tried something different? Why waste another day doing the same thing you’ve been doing for years when it doesn’t work?

Acne Treatment With Vitamin B5.

Using Vitamin B5 for acne treatment is the best kept secret in the world of skin care. I’m amazed at how few people know about this "miracle cure" (and I do not use that phrase lightly.)

Let me tell you my story. I had acne from age 18 all the way until age 25. During those 7 years I battled acne with every single product I could find. Creams, pads, whatever it was they were advertising on TV at the time. I tried them all. Everything I could find in the acne section of the store. Guess what my results were? I don’t think you even have to guess, if you have suffered from acne like I did then you know that none of those things work. At all. In fact they usually just make it worse.

One day I was so extremely frustrated with my acne problem that I went looking for an alternative cure. I had finally given up on all of the products they sell at the store and figured I had to try something else. I came across a website talking about how you can use Vitmain B5 to cure acne by taking capsules internally. I was very skeptical at first as I had always thought that acne was something that happens "on the skin" and couldn’t be treated internally.

But the more I read about how acne actually works the more I realized how wrong I actually was. Acne is caused by the overproduction of oil inside the body and the only way to cure it is by slowing down that overproduction of oil. Thats why those topical treatments (the pads and the creams and all of the rest) are so ineffective. They don’t try to stop acne at the source of the problem. According to the website I was looking at, that’s exactly what Vitamin B5 does. It slows down that overproduction of oil inside the body.

homemade acne remedies

I decided to give it a shot even though I was still skeptical. After all, how many other things had I tried in the last seven years without any success? When the Vitamin B5 capsules arrived at my home a few days later I started to use them and almost immediately started seeing results. My acne not only cleared up over a few days, but I also stopped forming new acne. Not only that, I found that I actually had more energy (pretty cool "side effect.")

It was a huge booster for my confidence and self esteem to finally be free of acne after suffering with it for seven years. I had only wished I had learned about Vitamin B5 earlier.

My big question then (and still is today) is why don’t more people know about this? It works way better than any of the stuff you see advertised on TV or in magazines? And then I started getting what some would call a "crazy conspiracy theory" (but it actually does make a lot of sense) maybe those making millions of dollars selling acne products that don’t work don’t want people to find out about a way to actually cure their acne for good. Wouldn’t they be out of a lot of money? It’s definitely something to think about.

Cure For Acne With Vitamin B5!

In the past few years people are looking for all kinds of cures, concerning the skin care problems area. Acne problems are usual nowadays and so are the treatments for them. The market is saturated with chemical products and so called ‘magic pills’ that will cure acne in no time. I think that so are you, sick of all the fake promises and the people that think that they could fool you.

The mass media is now an instrument in the hands of those who are trying to get rich fast and easy. They promote hundreds of cosmetics and products every year, all based on chemicals, some of them very dangerous to your skin. It is very wrong what the media instruments have become, especially because they forgot the main idea: treatments are meant to improve a person’s health.

Luckily, there are people that are concerned about your health as well as for the money to gain. Those scientists came up with a revolutionary product called Vilantae. What makes it so special? Well, it is one of the best products available mainly because of it’s innovative formula: d-Calcium Pantothenate in addition to vitamin B5 and some herbs extract. The 100% natural product, yet new on the market, will soon reach the top of the sales. That is due to it’s way of action as well as it is recommended from doctors all over the world.

Though, at first it ran into the skepticism of people, who thought it was another scam to rip their money off, now it is one of the best natural acne treatments. In the beginning Vilantae was designed to fight against acne, to protect your skin and prevent acne from reappearing, cutting the evil from it’s roots. Due to it’s growing popularity in addition to the more acne cases recorded no one similar to the other, scientists improved Vilantae. Now not only that it heals all present infections as well as it eradicates acne from it’s source, but it also relieves you off the stress accumulated, because of the suffering that acne made you go through.

acne home remedy

For the way of action of Vilantae you have to give thanks to vitamin B5 contained by it. This wonder vitamin shouldn’t be missing from your system, especially if you are confronting with acne problems.

One important fact that recommends Vilantae as one of the best natural acne treatments is that it doesn’t have any side effects, if you use it carefully. So you won’t have to experience dizziness, or to have stomach aches from it. In addition to all of these your immune system will be improved because Vilantae operates only naturally.

So, if you really want to get rid acne fast and not only that, but also to improve your health, then you should run quickly to the nearest drugstore to buy Vilantae, or you can just order it directly from the Internet. My suggestion is to a doctor before you start any acne treatment, because every person’s skin is different from one another. Be patient, use the products constantly and don’t try to cheat because you will cheat yourself. Don’t worry, you will see the results faster than you can imagine.

Is Vitamin B5 A Magic Acne Cure?

When I first learned about using Vitamin B5 for acne treatment six years ago I had never heard of the concept before. And I was at first very skeptical about it as I’m sure you may be right now.

home remedies for butt acne

I had suffered with a pretty bad acne problem for about seven years at the time. I had tried all of the acne products that everyone knows about (the creams and the pads and all of the other topical acne products) without any success at all. In fact, it usually seemed like those things just made my face more irritated in response. I was getting very desperate for something that would actually work.

That’s when I found a website that talked about using Vitamin B5 to cure acne. Instead of putting a pad or a cream on your face, the website said that the real way to cure acne was to take Vitamin B5 internally. At first I found this hard to believe as I hadn’t heard a lot about taking something internally for acne before and I thought it was a "skin based" problem. But then I got to thinking that I had tried all of those topical acne treatments and none of them had ever worked so maybe it was time to try something else.

Then I learned about the science behind the idea. I learned that acne is actually caused by an overproduction of oil inside the body not by anything that happens on the skin and that the only real way to stop acne is to stop it at it’s source (that overproduction of oil.) I then learned that taking rather large doses on a daily basis will actually slow down that overproduction oil and clear up the acne that’s already on the skin while completely stopping new acne from forming.

I decided I didn’t have much to lose. The Vitamin B5 acne treatment product I tried was 100% guaranteed anyway so I might as well try it. I was amazed at the results. It really did work like "magic" for me. My acne was cleared up within days and here it is 6 years later and I’m still acne free. Obviously I cannot recommend Vitamin B5 as an acne cure anymore highly. It worked for me and I think it would also work for many others out there who have struggled with no results from topical acne treatments.

Will Vitamin B5 Cure Your Acne?

Vilantae is the Vitamin B5 based all natural acne treatment that really works. Don’t waste your time with topical acne treatments anymore, try Vilantae instead.

"Have You Tried All Of The Topical Treatments?"

Most of us who have suffered with pimple problems went through all of the usual so called "treatments" without any success. We tried the pads, the creams, and everything else. The results? Nothing but perhaps irritated skin! The fact is topically applied acne treatments don’t work.

"Why Don’t Applied Acne ‘Cures’ Work?"

Because they try to treat the result of the problem rather than the problem itself. The problem is the root cause of acne which is the overproduction of oil inside the body. When you try to treat acne at the skin level you’ve basically already lost. It’s impossible to stop acne once it has reached the skin.

Is Vitamin B5 An Acne Cure?

Taking supplemental vitamins for acne to help fight acne is not a new idea. Many people are lacking in the necessary vitamins to maintain a happy, healthy body – and that includes the skin!

Your skin is your body’s largest organ. It requires a wide spectrum of vitamins and minerals to look and feel it’s best. Vitamins A, C, E, K and vitamin B complex as well as minerals such as zinc, chromium and selenium are all necessary. However, in today’s ‘fast world’ inadequate eating habits are the leading cause of vitamin deficiencies. To compensate, you may choose to add a quality multivitamin to your diet.

One of the most beneficial vitamins for treating acne is claimed to be the vitamin B group and in particular, vitamin B5 or Pantothenic acid.

Vitamin B5 for acne is causing quite a stir throughout the Internet, There are many web sites competing for your attention. Some claim that mega doses of vitamin B5 will completely eradicate all traces of your acne while others claim that such B5 doses are totally useless and even dangerous.

acne home remedies

Who do you believe?

A regiment of vitamin B5 to treat acne is claimed to be second only to treatments based on vitamin A such as Accutane – but much safer. Accutane is very effective because it shuts down oil producing glands that cause acne, however, a list of side-effect have created ‘bad press’ for Accutane. B5 on the other hand, is suppose to be effective and safe because it increases your body’s ability to metabolize oil rather than to stop oil production altogether.

B5 is an essential vitamin and can be found in our everyday diets. Foods such as eggs, yeast, whole-wheat, broccoli and red meat all contain vitamin B5. There is no proof to indicate that taking large doses of B5 to treat acne are dangerous – only opinions.

Programs that suggest mega doses of up to 10 grams or more of B5 each day may be unnecessary. Since vitamins B5 is water-soluble, much of it would be flushed from your system before your body could absorb what it needed. That may be why as many as 20 tablets a day are recommended. Some may find that very hard to swallow!

A program that offers time-released vitamins for acne may be the answer. A lower dose of 2 to 3 grams of vitamin B5 each day, time-released to allow your body to absorb it makes sense. Why take 20 tablets when you can get the same results with 4 to 6? It is much cheaper too!

In the end, the decision to use vitamins for acne treatment will be yours. Supplementing a poor diet with multivitamins will certainly help to improve your skin and your over-all health. Additional vitamin B5, if used sensibly, promises a safe, natural and effective solution to your acne.

A lot of people swear by natural products instead of strong soaps and things that are harsh on the skin. I’ve recently started using a tea tree oil based product and found it to be phenomenal so I decided I’d put up some info about it.

The tea tree is a plant found in a specific region of Australia. The oil is pressed out of the leaves of the plant. The people indigenous to Australia used it for many years as for various medical purposes. The oil itself is a faint clear to gold color and has a very unique smell. The special characteristics of the oil are what make it beneficial for skin products. The oil has natural anti-fungal, anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties. It is known to destroy certain bacteria that live on our skin. For our purposes this means less bacteria that can infect comedones and cause acne. The products that you can find on the market contain 5% to 10% tea tree oil in dilution because the stronger concentrations can aggravate the skin and cause irritation.

I have found that tea tree oil does not leave the skin feeling as dry as a normal soap or a benzoyl peroxide based product. My personal regimen in the past was a benzoyl peroxide bar and a light moisturizer, but with mixed results. I switched to a tea tree based wash in the shower and jojoba oil to moisturize afterward and have seen a significant improvement in my complexion. Its a fairly amazing difference and after having acne as long as I have an having tried so many products that I am simply astounded at how effective this combination is.

If you are using tea tree oil for the first time there are some things you should know. Do not get it in your eyes. It is extremely unpleasant and you will definitely take care not to let it happen again if you do. Simply apply it to the face and lather for about one minute and then rinse off. It is a very watery product so make a cup with your hands when you dispense it. The actual product I use is Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean face wash w/Tea Tree oil. This stuff is an all natural product and is very gentle on the skin. This stuff cost me about $20 at the local organic grocery and has definitely been a worthwhile investment for me.

If you’ve tried all the usual acne products like benzoyl and acids and soaps and you aren’t satisfied with your current results I would strongly recommend giving tea tree oil a try.

home remedies to make pimples go away

What is Tea Tree Oil?

Tea tree oil comes from the Australian paperbark tree, and has been used traditionally as a folk remedy by Australian aborigines. It has powerful anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral qualities. There are close to 300 varieties of Melaleuca alternifolia (the Latin name for the tea tree), but only one produces the medicinal oil. This product has been traditionally used for such maladies as athlete’s foot, body odor, bad breath, and cold sores. It has been proven effective killing acne bacteria, when topically applied. Historically, the leaves were used as a substitute for tea, which is how tea tree oil got its name. The part used medicinally is the oil from the leaves.

How has it Been Used?

Tea tree oil has a 70 year history of safe use, and scientific data to support claims about its properties. It has been used as an antiseptic for burns, cuts and insect bites. It has also been used for acne, eczema and fungal infections of the skin (i.e., athlete’s foot). A small number of people are allergic to the oil, and experience skin reactions at low concentrations. It is especially recommended for teenagers, those with greasy skin or acne.

How do you Use it for Acne?

Many acne sufferers’ skin is very sensitive to tea tree oil. Therefore, it’s important to start out with a very mild dose, and experiment with just a small part of your skin. If your skin is aggravated by it, then either choose a lower dose, or try another acne treatment all together. Apply this product to the affected area of skin as directed. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the product information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. This product is for external use only. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.

Precautions and Limitations of Use.

Some acne sufferers don’t realize that you should not aggressively apply the undiluted oil onto acne lesions. This can irritate skin, causing redness, blistering, over-drying, and itching. Tea tree oil should never be taken internally, even in small quantities. It can cause impaired immune function, diarrhea, and potentially fatal central nervous system depression (excessive drowsiness, sleepiness, confusion, or coma). Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms of overdose: excessive drowsiness, sleepiness, poor coordination, diarrhea, or vomiting. Keep tea tree oil out of the reach of children and pets. If an overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Occasionally, people may have allergic reactions to tea tree oil, ranging from mild contact dermatitis to severe blisters and rashes. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience rash or skin irritation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. This product is not recommended for use during pregnancy, or during breast-feeding. Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially any other medicated skin products.

The Bottom Line.

Does tea tree oil cure acne? The answer is yes and no. As an anti-bacterial agent, it can help decrease the symptoms of skin inflamed with acne bacteria. However, many users will be sensitive to it. Like all topical acne treatments, it can’t cure acne totally. The only way to do that is internally. Tree tea oil is a proven alternative treatment for acne, and should be considered seriously by any acne sufferer. The potential benefits for curing acne with tea tree oil outweigh the risks.

Tea tree oil is probably the oldest treatment available for acne control. Tea tree oil is antiseptic, antimicrobial, antibacterial, germicidal and fungicidal in nature. It is used to treat a huge number of skin problems and infections including athlete’s foot, the flu, common colds, mouth ulcers, toothaches, sunburns, cuts, abrasions, dandruff, and of course, acne.

Tea tree oil is obtained from the steam distillation of tea tree leaves. It is also called as Australian tea tree oil, as the trees only grow in Australia. Due to its powerful antibacterial effects, it’s used widely in acne medications. It is generally used as a topical application. Various creams, gels, washes, and oils are available with tea tree oil as the first ingredient.

Acne is caused by the development of bacteria along with the blocked up sebum beneath the skin layer. As there is no treatment to cure acne, it can be only controlled. The only way to control acne is to cut down the growth of bacteria and to regulate the sebum secretion in the skin. This is the reason for a powerful antibacterial agent like tea tree oil to play a big role in acne control.

Tea tree oil fights against the bacteria that cause acne while it cleanses your skin. It is available in various forms like creams, oil, and washes. The best way to treat acne is to mix a few drops of tea tree oil in warm water and wash your face. This takes away the unwanted dead cells and cleanses your skin. After washing, you can apply tea tree cream to the affected areas, using a gentle touch. For greater effects, it is better to not wash too frequently, as excessive washing takes away the moisture content from your skin.

It is advisable to avoid sun after applying tea tree oil to your face. It tends to have a drying and irritating effect when the skin is exposed to sun. It is meant only for topical application, and never to be taken internally. It is available in most of the beauty products like soaps, shampoos, gels, washes, and other things. However, it’s good to check the amount of oil present in them, as most of them have only miniscule amounts, which tend to have no or very mild antibacterial effects.

Essential oils is the name given to more than 90 pure extracts from various plants. Despite the nomer ‘oil,’ essential oils are not, in fact petroleum products. They can be rubbed on the skin or used in aromatherapy. High quality essential oils are completely derived naturally and won’t clog pores. Because of their cleanliness, many essential oils can be used to help diminish acne.

Two of these oils are tea tree oil and emu oil. Emu oil, however, is not technically an essential oil, as it is derived from an animal. The emu is a mainly flightless bird originating mainly in Australia. The indigenous people of Australia, the Aborigines, use emu oil for its healing and restorative effects, particularly with regard to joint pain. Today, however, emu oil is used for a variety of purposes, one of those is to lessen the problem of acne.

Because emu oil is non-greasy and won’t clog pores, it makes a good skin moisturizer and softener. Lotion, no matter how ‘clean’ it is can still clog pores. Emu oil does the same job, but without the gunk that can cause acne.

Tea tree oil is another good choice for use on acne. This essential oil helps heal scars and won’t clog pores. Like other essential oils, tea tree oil can also be used for aromatherapy, soothing, even as it reduces acne. Common tea tree oil and New Zealand tea tree oil are the two common forms. The sent is balsamic and woody. The New Zealand variety has a warmer, earthier aroma.

Essential oils can be combined, and emu oil is an excellent carrier of essential oils, including tea tree oil. A combination of emu and tea tree oils can give softer, moisturized skin with a pleasant smell all while reducing acne.

Tea tree oil is a natural acne product that can be used topically to effectively treat facial acne. The tree that is used to produce this oil is native to Australia, and it is know by the scientific name Melaleuca alternifolia, which literally translate as narrow-leaved tree.

Its name comes from the fact that the leaves were originally used by Australian aboriginals to make tea. Aboriginals also used the leaves to treat infection in burns, cuts and other types of injuries. The fact that these leaves contain natural anti-microbial agents is what caused modern society to revisit history, by taking a second look at this long lost medicine.

Today, just as in the past, tea tree oil is used to fight infection, only instead of using it for life threatening infections; modern humans use it to fight acne. Interest in this oil from was sparked by a single single-blind study, which was done by the Department of Dermatology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Australia. This study, which compared the effectiveness of tea tree oil to benzoyl peroxide, produced very interesting results. It was found that both the group which was exposed to benzoyl peroxide and the group that was treated with the oil showed significant reduction in inflamed and non-inflamed acne lesions, although the benzoyl peroxide group showed more improvement. Interestingly enough, it was found that while the tea tree oil took longer to take effect, it also produced fewer side effects than benzoyl peroxide.

One thing to keep in mind before using this oil is that it should be diluted before being applied to the skin. Typically, the reduction is done by 5 parts oil to 95 parts water, which produces a mixture of 5% oil. If you would prefer to buy pre-mixed tea tree oil, this is also possible. Most pharmacies and drug stores carry at least a small selection of the oil, although, if you would like to find a bigger selection to choose from many health food stores also carry pre-mixed creams, gels, and lotions.

Because some people should not use tea tree oil, it is advised to research the side effects, as well as any precautions before using this product. Further information concerning possible side effects and precautions can be found at Medicine Net or WebMd.

Tea tree oil comes from the the plant Melaleuca alternifolia and is extracted from the leaves by steam distillation. There have been a few encouraging trials to test its use and it can be used as an effective home remedy for acne. It has been used for a very long time as a treatment for skin infections as it has antimicrobial properties. It can be found in many products such as lotions, shampoos and gels. It’s anti-microbial properties can be used to kill the bacteria, Propionibacterium acnes that causes acne.

Clinical studies.

A few studies have been undertaken to test tea tree oil in the treatment of acne. In one study [Lancet, December 8, 1990; p.1438, Medical Journal of Australia, 1990;153: pp.455-458] tea tree oil was compared to the popular over-the-counter ingredient for acne treatment, benzoyl peroxide. The trial at the Department of Dermatology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Australia, compared the use of a 5% gel of tea tree oil with a 5% lotion of benzoyl peroxide. Results showed that the gel was as effective as the benzoyl peroxide lotion, although it did take a little longer to see the same effects. However fewer side effects were seen for the gel. The benzoyl peroxide lotion caused some burning, stinging, itching, and dryness in 79% of those using it. This is only one study and it really needs more than this to prove that tea tree oil is effective in the treatment of acne, but it is a good first step.

baby acne solutions

How to Use The Oil?

You should never use tea tree oil undiluted on the skin as it can cause redness, blistering and itching which are the side effects you are trying to avoid. The concentration used in the study in Australia used a 5% gel so this may be good concentration to begin with. You can make this concentration by taking the pure tea tree oil and mixing 5 parts with 95 parts of water. Use this directly on the affected areas for a week and monitor how it affects your skin. Only apply the solution to the affected areas not all over your skin. If you do not see any adverse side effects you can increase the concentration slightly but never go above 15%.

Conclusion.

It may take a few weeks to a couple of months to really see the effects, but combined with a healthy diet and a sensible cleaning routine it should help your acne considerably. if you are using benzoyl peroxide but find that it is causing too many side effects tea tree oil can be a very effective and more gentle alternative.

Is Aloe Vera A Solution For Your Acne?

Aloe vera is a succulent plant having miraculous healing effects on a number of skin ailments, including acne and pimples. Know more about aloe vera and acne

best acne treatment with benzol peroxcide

Aloe vera also known as medicinal aloe, is a type of succulent plant. Succulent plants refer to those plants which can store water in their leaves, stems or roots, which in turn gives them a swollen and fleshy appearance. Aloe is actually the name of a genus that contains around 400 species of succulent flowering plants, out of which the most common is the aloe vera, also known as true vera. The plant is supposed to have originated in Northern Africa, Madagascar and Arabian peninsula.

Aloe Vera and Acne

The plant aloe vera has been in use for many centuries as an essential ingredient in herbal or alternative medicines. It was used by the ancient Greeks and Romans for treating wounds. Some clay tablets dating back to 1750 BC have been discovered regarding the medicinal uses of aloe vera. Another written evidence that goes back to 74 BC was also discovered, in which a Greek physician mentioned the applications of this magic herb in curing skin infections, burns and reducing hair loss. However, the first scientific report about the medical uses of aloe vera was published in 1935. Nowadays, aloe vera has become the subject of many studies and researches, which are conducted to unveil the possibilities of using aloe vera in treating various ailments, particularly those related to skin and hair.

Aloe vera is well-known for its soothing, healing and moisturizing properties. It has also been found to act as an immune booster and anti-inflammatory agent, and hence facilitates the regeneration of skin. Aloe vera is effective in alleviating symptoms associated with acne and acne scars, considered the worst skin problems faced by teenagers. Acne generally starts appearing with the onset of puberty, due to hormonal changes taking place within the body, and is very common among teenagers. It reduces slowly as they get older. Though aloe vera cannot cure pimples and acne, it is effective in reducing the inflammation and redness. Magnesium lactate, an itch inhibitor is present in aloe vera, which is helpful in treating acne, sunburns and rashes. Due to its regenerative property, aloe vera helps the skin to repair itself and is beneficial in removing acne scars and pimples. Aloe vera has also been found to lighten the skin pigmentation and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are fibrous proteins that are responsible for connecting as well as supporting other tissues in the body. Aloe vera, by facilitating the production of these proteins, can be used to prevent or delay the appearance of wrinkles.

Aloe vera has been a part of traditional medicine not only to treat skin problems, but also for a number of diseases like heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, wounds, etc. Besides, it is also supposed to have beneficial effects in diabetes, arthritis, genital herpes and psoriasis. However, the most common and popular usage of aloe vera has always been in alleviating skin problems, and today a wide range of aloe products are available that include moisturizers, soaps, sunscreens, creams, etc. It is also used as an ingredient in many shampoos and juices.

So far, no side effect of aloe vera has been discovered, except for the compound aloin contained in aloe vera, which can cause some side effects, when taken internally. However, aloin is usually removed during processing. Besides skin products, aloe vera juice is also believed to be highly effective in enhancing the quality of skin, making it more radiant by removing spots, blackheads and pimples as it contains antioxidants, which help to detoxify the body.

Vitamin E is also an antioxidant. Although not as strong of one as Vitamin A, Vitamin E still does help to rid the skin of toxins which can lead to acne and helps to clear up existing acne. Vitamin E also promotes tissue repair and healing of the skin, two important aspects that help to both strengthen the skin and also to prevent damage caused by acne to become permanent. Additionally, Vitamin E prevents cell damage by inhibiting the oxidation of lipids (fats) and the formation of free radicals.

These are essential sources of food that should be consumed not just to have healthy looking skin, but to have a healthy overall diet. Hopefully this has helped with which vitamins for acne you should take to achieve healthy, beautiful, and clear skin. Good luck.

Doctors and dermatologists often disagree about whether or not your diet has anything to do with acne. Some say it doesn’t matter if you eat fatty, greasy, fried foods every day – your acne won’t be the part of your body that suffers. Others contend that diet has everything to do with breakouts, and as a result, you should eat only healthy foods and avoid caffeine, oil, and grease for the rest of your life. So how do you know if an acne diet is right for you?

Whether or not the docs have it right, your diet does, in many cases, have an effect on your acne. Whether it is a direct or indirect link, there are nutrients you can eat that will improve your acne. Lack of these nutrients in your diet may result in severe acne, acne scars, and the inability of your body to control and eliminate your acne.

So what nutrients should you include in your acne diet? Here’s three that are the most helpful, according to research and acne studies.

1. Zinc: I personally take one 50-mg tablet of zinc every day with lunch. Why? Not only does it fend off colds (which I’m typically pretty susceptible to), it also helps my body control my acne. Since I started taking it over a year ago, my acne has gone from moderate to almost nonexistent, with a few breakout exceptions.

Make sure you eat a full lunch when taking zinc, however. It can upset your stomach if there’s not enough food in the tank to handle it. Also, only take a daily limit of 50 mg, as an overdose of zinc can be poisonous.

2. Vitamin A: This vitamin is found in fish oils, which is why I take one fish oil with dinner every evening. It improves the overall look of my skin and prevents breakouts on my face. You can take more than one of these per day; taking one or two per day is a good way to start out.

3. Vitamin E: It’s not necessarily healthy to apply Vitamin E extract on zits, as some might think, since Vitamin E is usually known for being such a good skin product. However, taking Vitamin E internally will help improve your acne. You can find Vitamin E in sunflower seeds, almonds, peanuts, and other such foods.

can honey help cure acneAlthough not as wildly popular as they were several years ago, the low carbohydrate diet still has a sizable following. The simple reason for this is because it works! Clinical studies show that people on a reduced-carb regimen lost more weight than those on a traditional low fat diet within six months. But there’s a downside to this, not the least of which is health experts’ concern about the diet’s recommendation of fatty foods. Before you go on a low carbohydrate diet, weigh the positives against the negatives and decide whether it’s the right weight loss strategy for you.

Arguably the most popular low carb diet is the Atkins diet, founded by the late Dr. Robert Atkins several decades ago. Since its explosion onto the scene, similar diets have sprouted, including the South Beach Diet, the Zone Diet, Sugar Busters, and Protein Power. All these diets require you to vastly reduce the amount of carbohydrates you consume, but not eliminate them (as so many people assume). Your primary carbohydrate sources should be natural foods like vegetables and certain fruits. You will then find yourself eschewing many of the starchy and nutrient-deficient goodies that so many of us consume on a daily basis, like junk food and fast food (which, health experts agree, are bad for you anyway) and going for low carb foods.

Refined flour and sugar are perhaps the vilest villains that cause weight gain. Excessive intake of food products rich in these two ingredients can cause your blood glucose levels to increase, triggering the additional production of insulin, and causing the body to convert carbs to fat. Eating low carb foods would ensure that you get only the amount needed by your body. Deprived of surplus carbs, your body would then burn its fat stores instead of carbohydrates, and you start losing weight. What’s more, if you stick to the diet, you’ll find that you’ll tend to shed pounds at a faster pace.

Several studies show additional benefits of consuming low carb foods aside from weight loss. Lowered blood sugar levels will make you less vulnerable to diabetes. Also, clinical evidence shows that a low carb diet helps improve blood cholesterol, reducing your risk for heart disease and stroke. Another finding suggests a relationship between acne and carbohydrates. A diet high in carbohydrates increases insulin production, which would cause a series of hormonal changes that lead to clogged pores and oilier skin – fertile ground for the bacterium that causes pimples.

If the low carb diet has so many health benefits, why have many people abandoned it? One major reason is the diet’s advocacy of fat that is found in food like meat and dairy products. While it is true that low carb diets permit the consumption of fatty, low carb foods like butter, cheese, and pork chops, they do not in any way encourage the gluttony. You should eat only up to the point you don’t feel hungry anymore – there’s no ‘eat all you can’ mentality involved.

Healthy low-carb options.

Another reason may sound mundane, but is a serious challenge for many people: food boredom. A number of dieters find that they can’t do without the starchy, carb-rich they have become accustomed to; things like bread, pasta, candy, chips. However, if you do decide to go on a low carbohydrate diet, remember that there are many substitute products out in the marketplace that would still enable you to enjoy comfort food, but without the burden of carbs and sugar. For instance, instead of bread products made with refined flour, you can opt for whole grain breads or those made with soy flour and the like.

The abundance of naturally low carb foods cannot be underestimated. Fish, shellfish, and other seafood are rich in protein and low in carbs; so are poultry, meat, and many vegetables. Once you start incorporating all these natural and healthy foods back into your diet, you will find that you won’t miss the junk that you used to consume. And this practice of choosing nutrient-rich foodstuff will be something you will carry with you even after you reach your ideal body weight.

Whats more important – Diet or Exercise?

It’s not enough to go on a low carbohydrate diet, or any other diet for that matter, without getting the right amount of exercise. Even though the diet does not focus on calorie-counting, a calorie is still a calorie and if you eat more than what you burn, then you’ll become fat. So if you do decide to go on a low carbohydrate diet, make sure you do it right.

Carbs Cause Acne – Find out the truth!

Now it would seem as if there are endless myths about acne, it seems as if it is getting harder and harder to find out which ones are simply just myths made to torture you and to stop you from eating some of your favorite foods and snacks that you love and which ones are more than just a myth and can really help to cause acne. Here is another case that we will try to crack, can carbs cause acne. Read on and let’s find out if this is fact or is it fiction.

Carbs are short for carbohydrates which can be found in all staple foods. Now obviously carbs would be a part of any diet that can contribute to acne and acne breakouts. However your diet can also prevent acne and breakouts but it all depends on whether you have a healthy diet or you have an unhealthy diet. Hence your diet is what really matters when you talk about certain foods causing acne and not so much individually things that you eat.

There are two types of carbs, carbs that digest fast and slowly digested carbs; these are carbs that have a low glycemic index. Although your diet is what can really cause acne and not individual food groups, certain foods can contribute to acne, foods such as fats and sugars but carbohydrates are actually not a food group proven to cause acne or acne related problems.

how to get rid of acne pitting

Some low glycemic foods would include milk, strawberries, barley, pastas, dried beans and peas such as lentils. In fact the carbs which have low glycemic indexes, the carbs that are slowly digested are the carbs that are found to actually improve acne. So being on a high low glycemic carbohydrate diet can actually help improve your acne and can be considered to be one of the best acne defenses.

The conclusion here is no, carbs can not cause acne. Actually it is the opposite which is true in that it can in fact help get rid of it and prevent it from getting worse. We are not necessarily saying that food can cause acne but are pointing out that it seems as if there is a connection between your diet and the degree of your acne. So even though your diet change may not cure your acne it can probably help it or help improve the results of any treatment that you are currently taking for your acne.

Do Carbohydrates Cause Acne?

Should you avoid carbohydrates  if you want to cure your acne?I separate the science from the nonsense behind acne and carbohydrates.

The carb and acne link is clouded with confusion and misinformation. Research in the past years shows a possible link between acne and high glycemic index foods (mostly refined carbs).

These foods put your blood sugar levels on a rollercoaster ride. As a result the body releases hormones that increase sebum production, cause the skin cells to divide more frequently (more dead skin cells) and weaken the immune system (more acne causing bacteria).

diet and acne

Based on this research it seems carbohydrates cause acne. But that’s only a half of the story.

The real culprit is unstable blood sugar levels.

Now, it is true that eating carbohydrates increases blood sugar levels. And refined carbohydrates trigger even sharper increase. But the body is very good at regulating blood sugar levels. It has to, because too high or low levels are dangerous, and possibly even fatal.

As long as this regulating mechanism works well your blood sugar levels remain reasonably steady no matter what you eat.

It’s only when they fail, a condition called insulin resistance, that you get problems leading to acne. So insulin resistance sits at the root of your acne.

Insulin resistance is a fairly complicated condition that develops over the years as a result of wrong diet and lifestyle choices. Some of the main causes are:

  • Eating too much fat.
  • Eating too many calories.
  • Chronic inflammation (for example from stress, exposure to toxins and chemicals, and eating inflammatory foods).
  • Sleep deprivation.
  • Sedentary lifestyle.

Contrary to common understanding eating carbohydrates doesn’t cause insulin resistance, at least unrefined carbohydrates in whole foods. A person without insulin resistance can eat 19 bananas a day without any blood sugar problems.

Are low-carb diets the answer to acne?

When people hear about acne carbohydrate connection they think low-carb diets are the solution. If carbs cause acne then the solution is to avoid them.

As these diets are low in calories and lead to short-term weight loss (good for insulin resistance) they may work in the short-term.

One of the problems with low-carb diets is they are extremely high in fat. Too much fat is one of the main reasons behind insulin resistance. Fat blocks the action of insulin in the bloodstream, and the pancreas has to constantly pump more to compensate. Research consistently shows that those who eat the most fat have the highest insulin levels.

These diets are also extremely dangerous to your health. Atkins Exposed website (http://www.atkinsexposed.org/) explains the dangers these diets expose you to, and the scientific non-sense used to promote them.

Please understand that healthy, unrefined carbohydrates in whole foods are not your or your skin’s enemy. There’s no reason to put your life on the line by avoiding them in a fleeting hope of clear skin.

Especially since you can have both clear skin and excellent health by following scientifically supported and time-tested principles of eating healthy foods in their natural state.

In summary, acne is not caused by carbohydrates.

There has been a lot of speculation about how diet and food intake affects acne. There is a relationship between what we eat and how our skin reacts, although the exact interaction is not clearly understood. All food has properties that are helpful or harmful to our bodies. Most foods have a combination of helpful and harmful components and our bodies are designed to utilize the positive attributes of the food and to eliminate the negative. Sometimes, based on our bodies’ ability to process food, there may be changes in chemical and hormonal balances caused by food. Some contributing factors to changes in body metabolism are:

- Change in diet

– Change in climate

– High stress levels

– Natural hormonal changes in the body due to age and development

– Illness and infections within the body

In this article we are going to explore the relationship between carbohydrates and acne.

Carbohydrates

There are low-carbohydrate and high-carbohydrate foods found in the average daily diet. Teenagers and adults who eat a high carbohydrate diet are more prone to acne and outbreaks. Teenagers and adults who eat a lower carbohydrate diet that limits the amount of refined sugars have significantly fewer acne problems and outbreaks. High carbohydrate foods include candies, highly processed foods such as white bread, sugary cereals and fast foods. It is believed by scientists and nutritionists that the high carbohydrate foods trigger a sharp increase in insulin production that in turn triggers hormonal increases leading to oily skin and clogged pores.

Best Diet Choices

If you have acne, we recommend that you try the following changes in your diet (after discussing it with your doctor of course):

– Eat as much natural food as possible such as fruits and vegetables.

– Limit high carbohydrate items and switch to whole grain wheat products.

– Avoid fried foods or foods cooked in oils.

– Drink at least six glasses of water per day.

– Eat high fiber foods. These high fiber foods tend to be generally low carbohydrate foods.

– Avoid any foods that you may be allergic to. Keep a record of what is eaten for a week and see if there is any pattern to outbreaks.

Does chocolate cause acne? Yes chocolate definitely can cause acne in some people, depending on your genetics. There are many foods that can cause acne depending on your genetics.

If I eat a large milk chocolate bar it will usually give me cystic acne somewhere on my body within a few days. It usually takes 3 days until you will breakout from a certain food after you eat it. (If you are allergic to that certain food.)

If you have a cystic acne bump that never goes away, then you are probably eating the food that is causing the bump on a regular basis. (Synthetic lotions absorbed through your skin could also be causing the cyst also.)

You see, your skin is an eliminatory organ also, and sometimes it will eliminate toxins through your skin if it needs to.

Some people say that the whole toxins thing is nonsense, but just think of Poison Ivy. It is so toxic, that you don’t even have to eat it to break out from it. You only have to touch it. Also not everyone is allergic to Poison Ivy.

All plants on the planet are not fit for human consumption and can be toxic. Just think of deadly mushrooms. They are so toxic that they can kill you if you accidentally eat one.

Back when I was finding the cure for my acne, I would cycle through phases of eating large quantities of the same food, and then not eating that certain food for a while and then notice the condition of my skin.

One day I decided to test milk chocolate bars to see if they made me break out. I didn’t eat any chocolate or chocolate bars for a few weeks to make sure that all chocolate was out of my system. I did not have acne on my forehead after the 3 weeks.

To test to see if chocolate bars were causing me acne, I ate a couple large chocolate bars every day for a few days in a row. On the third day I developed cystic acne on my forehead. I then quit eating them on the third day. It took about a week and a half for the cystic acne bumps on my forehead to go away. Coincidence? Not at all. I have done this test many times over the past few years.

best acne cure or treatment

I have also tested many other foods the same way that I tested chocolate. Over the last 6 years I have been testing every food that I eat to see if it makes me break out. I now have a list of foods that were causing my acne, and a list of foods that do not cause me to break out with acne.

Chocolate bars are not the only food that can cause acne. Any food or substance can cause acne if you have a food allergy to it.

So, does chocolate cause acne? Here is the answer. Yes it can if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the chocolate bars. It might be the oils that they put in the chocolate bars that are making some people break out from eating them. Or it could be the chocolate itself.

Does chocolate cause acne in everyone? The answer is no. Since everyone’s genetics are slightly different, some people might be able to tolerate eating chocolate without breaking out. Also your overall diet will be a factor.

Why does chocolate cause acne in some people but not others even though they have very similar genetics like brothers and sisters? Your body has to use the fats that you eat to make the oil that it puts on your skin. If the majority of your dietary fats are from clogging type oils (like the kind in chocolate bars) then your body will have to use what it has to work with. One sibling might eat an overall healthier diet than the one with acne.

If you were to include more non-clogging, non-allergenic oils (like extra virgin olive oil) into your diet, then your body will have the right kind of dietary building blocks it needs to keep your skin moisturized, without the oil getting stuck before reaching the surface of your skin. Your body will then have more of a choice, and not be forced to use the acne causing types of oils.

I know that you have probably read all over the Internet, and told by your doctor that food does not cause acne, but I now know that it does. I had cystic acne until I changed my diet. It all started in junior high school when we had the freedom to skip lunch and eat at the snack bar. I would eat chocolate and peanut butter cups and a soda every day instead of lunch. I had bad acne then, but I didn’t see the connection at the time.

Recently I have been keeping a food journal for 6 years, and now I know that certain foods make me break out, so I just avoid them if I want my skin to remain clear. And chocolate bars definitely make me break out. I have tested it many times over the last few years.

That is a very good question. There has been much debate over this question for some time now. Some people say that eating chocolate causes more acne than if you didn’t eat the chocolate and some say that only greasy and fatty foods cause acne. After reading, you are going to discover the answer to the question, does eating chocolate cause acne.

get rid of genital acne in 2 days

Well, the simple answer is no, eating chocolate does not cause acne. There are several things that cause acne and eating chocolate is not one of them. Acne is usually caused by more than one thing. The most common reason for acne is that there is too much sebum in your cells. Your skin constantly reproduces itself and old skin cells die. When the sebum mixes with oil and other bacteria is causes acne. Don’t worry though, it can be treated.

What you first need to do is diagnose your acne severity. Each person is unique and will have a unique case of acne. What you can also do is be sure to clean your skin on a daily basis. Too much oil is bad and can cause beakouts, but be careful because if you didn’t already know, too much cleansing can also be bad. If you clean your skin too much it can also cause breakouts.

The best option you can seek out is to find a product or system that has been proven to work for a large amount of people. There are hundreds of treatment options so do some research before choosing one or maybe even try out two different ones because most often there are products that will work great for some people and not at all for other people.

As a self confessed chocoholic, when I first started getting acne the most important question to me was "Does chocolate cause acne?"

There are conflicting opinions about eating chocolate and whether it does or doesn’t cause acne. It’s a common question that I’m sure many acne sufferers would like to know so here’s some details about the effects of eating chocolate and how certain chocolate may actual contribute towards clearing your skin.

Chocolate in general will not be the sole cause of your acne but the sugar and chemicals in it could contribute to acne if you consume too much. It’s the same for any other foods in your diet if you eat far too much unhealthy food it will affect your body which can in turn affect your acne.

The cocoa in chocolate is actually great for your skin because it contains antioxidantsmong other beneficial ingredients. If you like drinking chocolate I’d opt for organic cocoa which has less sugar. Also look for cold compressed cocoa in particular because this has more of the good stuff like vitamins and minerals.

how to cure acne at home home remedy

The best type of chocolate bar for your skin is dark chocolate as it contains more cocoa. Although the cocoa in chocolate can help your skin it’s not a miracle cure. It’s one of those little steps you can do as part of an overall acne treatment plan.

You know better than anyone if certain foods cause breakouts more than others. Trying to avoid consuming chocolate that is high in sugar and opting for an organic dark variety so that you don’t need to feel guilty when you indulge in your chocolate addiction. If you like milk chocolate then there’s no harm in alternating between the two kinds – it’s just dark chocolate is better for you.

Is Chocolate The Root Cause Of Acne?

Several studies have been made to enquire about food that causes or can cause acne. But there is no clear evidence that this food causes acne and this doesn’t.

1. Acne is caused by consuming chocolate.

The fact that consuming chocolate causes acne is a myth that has been around for years. Doctors and scientists after considerable research have refuted the old myth that chocolate causes acne. Why is that?

A chocolate candy bar is innocent, but is blamed regularly. Other foods that are blamed include pizza, potato chips and dairy products. No foods have been proven to cause acne. If a person maintains a healthy diet and consumes healthy vegetables and fruits, acne can be prevented.

permanent cure for acne

Other myths about acne.

2. Acne is caused by dirt.

Wrong! Acne is caused by a number of things, but dirt isn’t one of them. Blemishes form when dead skin cells mix with your body’s natural oil, forming a plug in the tiny hair follicles commonly called pores. This has nothing to do with dirt, so overwashing your face or body (more than 2-3 times per day) will not make your acne better. In fact, too much washing or the over-use of harsh scrubs and "pore strips" can actually strip the skin of the oil it needs to stay soft and pliable. The result? Dry, flaky skin that may actually produce more oil.

3. Acne is for teenagers – you’ll grow out of it.

This myth is harmful in several ways. First, it can lead teenagers to "wait it out" instead of seeking treatment for their acne; this can result in plummeting self-esteem and in severe cases of acne, scarring. Second, this myth can cause further alienation in adults who suffer from acne. They may feel too embarrassed to seek treatment, wondering "Why do I still have acne? What am I doing wrong?" The truth is, acne can strike at any age; it’s not your fault.

4. Make-up causes acne.

Most make-ups today are non-comedogenic, which means they won’t clog your pores. When shopping for cosmetics, look for products that are non-comedogenic, oil-free (water-based) and hypoallergenic (no added fragrance).

5. Sun exposure helps acne.

Wrong! The "Bronze Age" is over! Minimal amounts of sun exposure may initially improve the appearance of acne – as the skin darkens, blemishes may be less noticeable. But prolonged exposure promotes more rapid exfoliation of dead skin cells, so you’re more likely to get clogged pores. In addition, acne’s unsightly souvenirs, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and macules, will actually get darker if you spend time in the sun. Over time, sun damages the skin and increases the likelihood that your acne will leave scars.

So, does chocolate cause acne? The answer is NO. We know that chocolate is basically harmless unless, like everything else, it is over-consumed. Chocolate has been found not to cause nor aggravate outbreaks of acne. These results are backed up by further research that shows acne in no way is affected by chocolate.

Food in and of itself is not responsible for acne. There are, however, other elements that cause acne. The first being heredity, hormones, skin type, cosmetics and the environment.
